The annual Halloween parade at Boutwell’s Landing sponsored by Rotary was once again a huge success. Thanks to all that volunteered to mix candy, fill buckets, bring down wheelchair residents, purple pinky, directing traffic inside and out and clean-up.  It is always fun to see others having fun.  There were over 425 children in their cute costumes parading and collecting candy from the residents from 6-7pm.   Here are some notes for next year: We ran out of candy just as we were finishing up so we are okay from that perspective; maybe we could monitor the buckets more closely for the last minute paraders. The wheel chair residents were ready to go back up to their rooms by 6:45 or a bit earlier.  I didn’t see anything that I would change for future events but am open to suggestions.
