Club News
Today, our club board voted to contributed to a project that the Remember Niger Coalition is coordinating to install a solar-powered electrical system at the Niamey School for the Deaf in Niger. The funds will be used to connect 4 classrooms and a
computer lab to solar-powered electricity. This will provide lighting to dark schoolroom areas and a number of electric cooling fans during extremely hot weather. Additionally, it will ensure a power source for 15 laptop computers, a printer, and a PowerPoint projector. Over 450 students and adults will be positively impacted annually by this project.

 
Our club today was able to restore our funding for ShelterBox to our typical $1000/year level. While some of our funding has been affected by pandemic issues, our successful Rotary Deer fundraiser combined with lower-than-expected expenses in some areas allowed us to restore our support for the great ShelterBox work. ShelterBox teams work with disaster-hit families around the world, offering emergency shelter and other essential items to support them in rebuilding their lives.
